  • 2 Granny Smith Apples (cubed)
  • 1 cup water plus a tablespoon (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 25 caramel squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet (13×18) with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine water and lemon juice.
  3. Core and chop apples into cubes, adding them to lemon water to prevent browning.
  4. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth.
  5. Spread melted chocolate evenly on the baking sheet.
  6. Press pretzels into the chocolate layer.
  7. Drain and dry apple cubes thoroughly before layering on top of pretzels.
  8. Melt caramels with a teaspoon of water until smooth; pour over pretzels.
  9. Add apple cubes in a single layer over caramel.
  10. Drizzle remaining melted chocolate on top.
  11. Refrigerate until set (a few hours) before cutting into pieces.
